Welcome to our Bagless Safe Saturday initiative at UMS UMV Rajepur! On designated Saturdays, students come to school without their heavy school bags. This special, lightened day is dedicated entirely to practical learning, safety awareness, skill development, and creative activities, ensuring a fun and stress-free educational experience.

1. STEM & Tech Fun (Technocrat Coders & Science Club)
Scratch Storytelling: Using the computer lab for simple, block-based coding to create animated safety announcements or short moral stories.
Simple Science Magic: Hands-on, no-mess experiments demonstrating basic physical and chemical phenomena (e.g., density, static electricity).
2. Art & Environment (Eco & Youth Club)
Best Out of Waste: Creative workshops where students use recyclable materials to build models, promoting resource conservation.
Campus Greening Day: Focused time for gardening, weeding, and learning about the plants in our herbal garden.

🗓️ Important Notes for Students and Parents
When is it? The last Saturday of every month is observed as Bagless Safe Saturday (please refer to the Annual School Calendar for confirmation).
What to Bring? Students should only carry their water bottle, lunchbox, and a small notebook/pencil for activities.
Attendance: Attendance is compulsory as these sessions cover vital life skills and safety education.

1. Emergency Preparedness & Drills
Fire Safety Drills: Practicing the evacuation route to the designated assembly point, understanding the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" technique, and identifying fire extinguishers.
Earthquake Drills (Drop, Cover, and Hold On): Practicing immediate actions to take during a seismic event.
First Aid Basics: Learning simple, immediate care for common injuries like cuts, scrapes, and burns.
2. Personal Safety & Awareness
"Good Touch, Bad Touch": Age-appropriate sessions conducted by counselors/trained teachers to educate students on personal boundaries and seeking help.
Road Safety Rules: Training on safe pedestrian behaviour, cycling rules, and using public transport, focusing on the importance of traffic signals.
Stranger Danger: Discussing safe practices when approached by unknown adults, emphasizing the rule of not accepting food or rides.
3. Health, Hygiene & Sanitation
Hygiene Check-up: Organized by the Health & Cleanliness Minister (Bal Sansad) and Meena Manch, focusing on dental care, handwashing, and overall personal cleanliness.
Monsoon/Seasonal Health: Awareness sessions on preventing waterborne diseases, dengue fever, and malaria.
Nutrition Talk: Simple lessons on healthy eating habits and the importance of midday meals.
4. Digital Safety (Cyber Safety)
Online Etiquette: Discussing respectful behaviour and communication on digital platforms.
Privacy Rules: Teaching students not to share personal information, photos, or passwords online.
